A Piece Of Home
We (Federico and I) live in the city. On the 7th floor surrounded by lights, buildings and clouds we have found our dream place to start our life’s together. Our apartment is just perfect for the both of us. It’s looks very tight, neat and bright! We were inspired by some beautiful design hotel in Dubai. We wanted to create that hotel vibes in our home. We worked together with a architect to achieve our goals, something I’ve never done before but it’s worth all the time and money since they are the professionals and they can make it happen! It turend out amazing. In today’s post Im showing you some details of the house but a total house tour is something I’ve been planing for a long time and it’s definitely coming. For now let me show you some of my pieces 🙂
My bar cart! Something I added to our home decor couple of months ago. Federico and I love a glass of good wine every now and than. Our friends and relatives always gift us excellent and beautiful bottles of joy. Too beautiful to hide so I decided to purchase a bar cart. In a very neat and classy way you display couple of champagne bottles, wine bottles with the glasses that goes along together with the drinks. Adding a touch of green like a plant or lemons to spice it up a little bit. Our guests love the bar cart. It looks very inviting and I’m having my own tiny bar now!
Since our interior is very bright and tight I need something to challenge the colours and the design. Every season all year long you’ll find fresh flowers in our hotel apartment. Tulips, roses, peony, daisy and so many other colourful and beautiful flowers. The feeling of having so much of nature inside our apartment is a must especially because we are surrounded by cars and buildings and not so much green, a piece of Mother Nature is highly requested here!
A big white (leather) Couch was on the top of our Wishlist. Easy to clean looks fresh but how do you decorate it so that it doesn’t look empty and boring. A lot of pillows in different colours and sizes. There are no rules here. I mixed and matched colours and designs, fabrics and textures! It’s all possible and I do dare. It can be challenging to decorate the couch with som many pillows but it looks very inviting and cozy!
A house full of candles with a view overlooking the entire city! Dreamy! Especially at night. Just like flowers candles are my best friends. On the dining table during dinner and on the coffee table with a cup of lemon tea. Super romantic, healing and relaxing. And my top favourite are candles with scent. Imagine a house full of flowers and candles and the smell of both filling the entire house.
I love Look Books! It says a lot about the people and their interest. I’ve added 3 books to my coffee table: Our big wedding album (LIFESTYLE). I Can’t think of a better look book than the one with us in it together with our loved ones! Everyone love to take a look in it and it’s a perfect way to start the wedding day conversation again!
The second book is of favourite city New York (TRAVEL). All the hotspots and the places you need to be if you’re ever in New York.
The final and third book is the Coco Chanel Look Book (FASHION). A timeless brand that everyone loves and know. It’s classy and Parisian!
Our coffee table is the head piece of the living room. The moment you walk it it’s the first thing you notice. The pop of blue is magical since it’s my favourite colour. The hand painted design is obvious and very attractive. I waited 10 weeks before it arrived but once it came in I couldn’t take my eyes off it. Since there is so much going on with the colours and design, I like to keep it clean and simple when it comes to decorating the table. The look books, a vase with fresh flowers and couple of candles is all it needs. Definitely my favourite piece in the entire living room.
