The wonderful benefits of rice water

For this simple but very beneficial recipe you only need 2 things:
rice & water!

– Start by rinsing the rice with cold tap water to get rid of any dirt.

– Get a bowl of clean water and soak the rice in the bowl for 2 to 3 hours
(the water should cover the rise completely and nothing more)

– Drain the rice and pour the rice water into an airtight container or jar for storage and save this in the fridge.
You can enjoy your rice water up to a week.
 TIP! Add cotton pads in the jar and poured the the rice water on top. This way it’s ready for use anytime.

Benefits of Rice Water

1. Facial Cleanser

Use the pads to clean your skin from make-up or just to freshen up.

2. Skin Toner

Rice water minimises the pores and keeps the skin clean with a natural glow.

3. Acne Treatment

The soothing effect of rice water makes it a great treatment for acne. It will help reduce redness whilst helping prevent future breakouts.

4. Eczema treatment

The starchy content of rice water can be really useful for easing the discomfort that comes along with eczema. Just dip a clean washcloth into the rice water, then pat the damp cloth over the affected area. Continue this for a couple of minutes, then allow your skin to air dry.

5. Soothes sunburns
With the summer around the corner, you can use the rice water pads to sooth your skin from any sunburns.

I’ve used rice water to rinse my curly hair and I love the results. I will be trying it for skin care after reading this
